UFC 255: Joaquin Buckley vs. Jordan Wright Play-by-Play

Returning weeks after his viral knockout victory, Joaquin Buckley fought undefeated Jordan Wright on the prelims. Their fight went like this.

Bout 6: Joaquin Buckley (11-3) vs. Jordan Wright (11-0) (Middleweight)

Buckley clinched with Wright to start the fight. Buckley resisted a takedown from the position before they separated. Buckley put Wright against the cage in a clinch again within the first minute of action, separating a minute later. Buckley was coming forward with big wailing hooks. One of them connected in the second minute. He clinched again in the third minute, putting Wright against the cage again. Buckley was warned for grabbing the cage while in the position. They returned to striking with two minutes to go. Wright landed a head kick in the fourth minute, with Buckley answering back with a hook to the head. Buckley let a combination of hooks go in the final minute that dropped Wright. Wright survived for the rest of the round.

Buckley was aggressive early in the second round, chasing Wright down with strikes. A two-punch combination of hooks in the first minute knocked Wright out, ending the fight.

RESULT: Joaquin Buckley def. Jordan Wright via TKO, Strikes (RD 2, 0:18)
