Louis Cosce and Sasha Palatnikov Given ‘Fight of the Night’ For UFC Debut Fight At UFC 255

The UFC debut of Louis Cosce and Sasha Palatnikov at UFC 255 was big for both, as they were awarded “Fight of the Night” afterwards on Saturday.

The fight was the opening bout of the evening for a pay-per-view card from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

“Performance of the Night” bonuses also went to Antonina Shevchenko and Joaquin Buckley. All fighters given bonuses were awarded an extra $50,000 on top of their previously negotiated fight purse.

The back-and-forth battle between Cosce and Palatnikov ended with Palatnikov prevailing. Enduring lots of damage and nearly being stopped in the first round, UFC’s first fighter from Hong Kong stopped Cosce in the third round with strikes.

Shevchenko won her fight on the prelims against Jennifer Maia. The win for Shevchenko saw her stop Maia in the second round with ground and pound.

Buckley ended the 11-fight undefeated run of Jordan Wright on the prelims, catching him early in the second round with punches. Buckley lived up to the hype of his previous fight, which saw him deliver a viral spinning kick knockout to Impa Kasanganay.
