Francisco Figueiredo, brother of UFC Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo, will make his UFC debut on January 20th against Jerome Rivera. The matchup was first reported by Marcelo Barone of Combate.
The fight joins a card which is scheduled to happen on a Wednesday. An official location for the event is not known at the moment.
Figueiredo joins the UFC after a run of 11 wins, three losses and one draw on the regional scene. His last fight was in September of 2019, where he went to a draw on scorecards against Eduardo Souza on a Jungle Fight card.
Rivera will look to get his first UFC win in the bout. He made his UFC debut in September, where he was stopped in the second round with strikes from Tyson Nam.
Rivera competed on “Dana White’s Contender Series” in August, defeating Luis Rodriguez on the show. While he was not offered a UFC contract, his next fight was in the promotion.
The booking for Rivera pulls him out of a January 30th fight against Ode Osbourne which was previously reported.
The other bout currently reported for a January 20th “Fight Night” card is a featherweight bout between Lerone Murphy and Douglas Silva de Andrade.
