Julian Marquez will take his first fight since 2018 on February 13th, fighting Maki Pitolo. Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie was the first to report the fight joining UFC’s pay-per-view event in the month.
The location of UFC 258 is not known at the moment.
Marquez has a win and a loss in the UFC. His last fight was in July of 2018, where he lost a split decision to Alessio Di Chirico. His previous fight, his promotional debut, was a win over Darren Stewart.
Marquez entered the UFC following a finish victory on the TV show “Dana White’s Contender Series.”
Marquez was originally set to make his return in November, although plans changed after Saparbeg Safarov had weight cut troubles.
Pitolo enters the fight after two-straight losses in 2020. Pitolo took two fights within a month in August, losing to Darren Stewart and Impa Kasanganay. His last win was in June, where he stopped Charles Byrd in the second round.
