UFC Looking To Book Islam Makhachev vs. Drew Dober For March 6th Card

UFC is looking to add a fight between Islam Makhachev and Drew Dober to their March 6th card. The potential matchup was first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN.

Should the fight be officially booked, it will join a lineup that does not have a location reported for it currently.

The booking for Makhachev comes after a year where he failed to have a fight. A positive COVID-19 test and an injury to Makhachev took him out of two bookings against Rafael dos Anjos.

Makhachev has a strong six-fight win streak currently which he developed from 2016 to 2019. His last win was a decision victory over Davi Ramos.

Dober is currently on a three-fight win streak. He made the win streak a trio in May, stopping Alexander Hernandez in the second round with strikes.

The fight joins a card that is without a main event currently. Here’s what has been reported.
