Raphael Assuncao will attempt to stop his three-fight losing streak on February 27th, fighting Raoni Barcelos as part of a UFC “Fight Night” card. Marcelo Alonso of Sherdog was the first to report the fight.
The fight has been added to a lineup that does not have a location known publicly at the moment.
Assuncao’s three recent fights in 2019 and 2020 have been losses, albeit against high-level opponents.
After losing to Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen in 2019, Assuncao dropped a bout in June to former champ Cody Garbrandt, being knocked out late in the second round.
Assuncao has yet another tough matchup in February, as Barcelos has yet to be defeated in his UFC run. Barcelos earned his fifth UFC victory last month, defeating Khalid Taha with a unanimous decision.
UFC’s February 27th card is currently scheduled to have a light heavyweight main event between Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka. Here are the reported fights thus far.
