UFC on ESPN+ 41: Jimmy Flick vs. Cody Durden Play-by-Play

Jimmy Flick made his UFC debut on Saturday, fighting Cody Durden on the preliminary card. Here’s how the bout went.

Bout 2: Jimmy Flick (15-5) vs. Cody Durden (11-2-1) (Flyweight)

Durden scored a takedown in the opening minute of the fight, taking the back of Flick after. Flick was quick to get up to his feet. Durden kept Flick up against the cage on the feet in the second minute, separating eventually. Durden landed a hard right hand in the second minute. Flick had a takedown stopped in the third minute, getting hit with a combination of strikes after. Durden caught a leg kick, although Flick pulled guard while his leg was being held. Flick looked for a triangle choke from his back that caused Durden to tap out.

RESULT: Jimmy Flick def. Cody Durden via Submission, Triangle Choke (RD 1, 3:18)
