Cheyanne Buys will get her UFC debut on March 20th, fighting Kay Hansen at a UFC “Fight Night” event. The strawweight matchup was first reported by I Like Who I’m Becoming MMA on Wednesday.
The fight joins a lineup that does not have a location reported for it yet.
Buys earned her UFC contract back in May, defeating Hilarie Rose on an episode of “Dana White’s Contender Series.” Buys’ TV appearance came after three consecutive decision wins on the regional MMA scene.
Hansen, a former Invicta FC fighter, has won and lost a bout each during her rookie year in the UFC.
Hansen won her UFC debut back in June, defeating former Invicta FC Atomweight Champion Jinh Yu Frey with a triangle-armbar. Hansen lost her most recent fight, dropping a decision to Cory McKenna in November.
UFC’s March 20th card is set to have a middleweight main event between Derek Brunson and Kevin Holland. Here are the fights that have been reported for it so far.
