Injury has removed Isi Fitikefu from his January 20th UFC debut against Dalcha Lungiambula. Per a report from Carlos Antunes of AgFight, Markus Perez will be taking the place of the UFC newcomer.
The new matchup joins a UFC “Fight Night” card that is set to happen on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
An arm injury is what took Fitikefu out of his booking, as reported by John Hyon Ko.
Perez will look to break a two-fight losing streak in January.
Perez was stopped by Dricus Du Plesis in his last bout, being finished in the first round with punches. His previous fight from then was a decision loss to Wellington Turman in 2019.
Now with a new opponent, Lungiambula will attempt to bounce back from his first UFC loss. He took his only promotional loss in November of 2019, where Magomed Ankalaev stopped him with a front kick.
