Both looking to return to the win column, Gerald Meerschaert and Bartosz Fabinski will face off at UFC’s April 17th event. First reported by Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA, the fight is the first to join a April 17th card.
Meerschaert is currently on a two-fight losing streak. His last fight was in September of 2020, where Khamzat Chimaev knocked him out in the opening minute with punches. Just three months before then, Ian Heinisch stopped Meerschaert in the second minute of a fight.
Meerschaert’s last win was in March, where he defeated Deron Win in the third round with a rear naked choke.
Fabinski was subbed in his last fight by Andre Muniz. The submission loss came back in September, where Muniz secured an armbar in the first round for a win. Before then, Fabinski had a win over Darren Stewart.
The middleweight bout was the first to be booked for an April 17th UFC card.
