ONE Championship will kick off their 2021 schedule on Friday when they air “Unbreakable,” a six-fight card from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. The card features a kickboxing main event along with many recognizable MMA names from their roster. Here’s a quick preview of the card.
Main Card (7:30AM EST / 8:30PM SGT)
Bout 1: Namiki Kawahara (7-3-2) vs. Lito Adiwang (11-3) (125 lbs) (MMA Bout)
Returning after taking his first loss in ONE in 2020, Lito Adiwang will face Namiki Kawahara to start the card.
Adiwang’s last fight was in November, where he dropped a split decision to Hiroshi Minowa. The fight was Adiwang’s first loss after two wins at ONE’s flagship events and three other victories in their “Warrior Series.”
The fight will be Kawahara’s ONE debut. The DEEP Strawweight Champion stepped in as a replacement opponent on the card, taking the place that Hexigetu was first put in. The RIZIN alum enters the fight after two-straight wins in DEEP Impact. He is moving up a weight class for Friday’s fight.
Bout 2: Meng Bo (16-5) vs. Samara Santos (11-7-1) (115 lbs) (MMA Bout)
Looking for her third-straight ONE win, Meng Bo will fight Samara Santos. Meng picked up her second ONE win just two months back, defeating Priscilla Gaol in the second round with ground and pound. Before then, her ONE debut in 2019 was a victory against Laura Balin.
Santos has yet to win a fight in her ONE run. She took her second ONE loss in August of 2019, where Ayaka Miura submitted her with an americana.
Bout 3: Zebaztian Kadestam (12-5) vs. Gadzhimurad Abdulaev (5-0) (185 lbs) (MMA Bout)
Undefeated talent Gadzhimurad Abdulaev will make his debut on ONE flagship programming on Friday, fighting Zebaztian Kadestam. Abdulaev has picked up five wins since making his pro debut in 2017. After four-straight stoppage wins, Abdulaev won a fight on ONE’s “Warrior Series” in 2019, defeating Carlos Prates via decision.
Kadestam will make his return to ONE on Friday. The Swedish fighter’s last appearance was in October of 2019, where he lost a unanimous decision to Kiamrian Abbasov. The loss concluded a three-fight win streak that he had before.
Bout 4: Rade Opacic vs. Bruno Susano (265 lbs) (Kickboxing Bout)
Just a month after winning an impressive ONE debut, Rade Opacic will return against Bruno Susano on Friday. Opacic picked up a stoppage win in December, catching Errol Zimmerman with a spinning back kick in the second round.
The fight on Friday will be Susano’s first since joining ONE. He has previously competed in notable kickboxing promotions like Enfusion and EM Legend Fight.
Bout 5: Shinya Aoki (45-9) vs. James Nakashima (12-1) (170 lbs) (MMA Bout)
Coming back from his first loss as a pro, James Nakashima has a big challenge in front of him on Friday as he will face Japanese MMA veteran Shinya Aoki.
Nakashima, a former LFA Welterweight Champion, lost a title fight in November to Kiamrian Abbasov, being stopped in the fourth round with punches after a close battle in the previous rounds.
Nakashima had three wins in ONE before getting the title shot in November.
The fight on Friday will be Aoki’s return to flagship ONE programming after over a year out of the spotlight. Aoki’s last win was on a “Road To ONE” show, where he won a fight over Kimihiro Eto.
Bout 6: Alaverdi Ramazanov vs. Capitan Petchyindee Academy (145 lbs) (ONE Kickboxing Featherweight Championship)
Alaverdi Ramazanov will attempt to defend his ONE Kickboxing Featherweight Championship in the main event, facing Capitan Petchyindee Academy.
Ramazanov earned the kickboxing belt in 2019, defeating Zhang Chenglong via decision after five rounds of action. The title win for him came after putting together a record of three wins and two losses in ONE.
The fight will be Capitan’s first for ONE under kickboxing rules. His only ONE win came in September, where he defeated Petchtanong Banchamek within a round with strikes in a Muay Thai bout.
His last fight was in December, where he defeated Sangmanee Sor.Cagemuaythai on a True4u Muay Thai card.
