Returning after a successful 2020, Dustin Jacoby is set to face Maxim Grishin at UFC’s February 27th event. First reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting, the bout will be Jacoby’s second since starting his recent UFC run.
The fight joins a card that does not have a location confirmed for it yet.
Jacoby re-entered the UFC in October, defeating Justin Ledet within a round with strikes. His UFC fight came after a win on “Dana White’s Contender Series,” a TV show where fighters with strong performances are offered UFC contracts.
The fight in October was Jacoby’s return to the UFC after a run in kickboxing and the regional MMA scene. His first UFC run spanned from 2011 to 2012, where he put together a record of one win and two losses.
Grishin will come back after earning his first UFC victory in 2020. Grishin last competed in October, where he stopped Gadzhimurad Antigulov in the second round with strikes.
Grishin made his UFC debut just three months before, where he lost a decision to Marcin Tybura in the heavyweight class. The former PFL fighter has over 30 wins as a pro.
