ONE Championship: Unbreakable II Preview

ONE Championship will present the first of their two pre-recorded “Unbreakable” cards on Friday. The set of six fights took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore and will air for the first time on Friday. The card is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Mauro Cerilli and Abdulbasir Vagaov. Here’s a preview of the full event.

Main Card (7:30AM EST / 8:30PM SGT)

Bout 1: Alain Ngalani (4-5) vs. Oumar Kane (1-0) (265 lbs) (MMA Bout)

The ONE debut of Oumar Kane, also known as “Reug Reug” will kick off the card, as he will fight Alain Ngalani. Kane made headlines in late 2019, as his debut win on an ARES card was a dominant showing. He now finds himself fighting an experienced ONE fighter in Ngalani. Ngalani’s last fight was in March of 2019, where Mauro Cerilli stopped him within a round with strikes.

Bout 2: Sovannahry Em (3-1) vs. Choi Jeong Yun (2-1) (138 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Both returning following a loss, Sovannahry Em and Choi Jeong Yun will fight on the card. Choi lost her ONE debut two months ago, getting stopped by strikes from Maira Mazar.

Em will return after a year out of pro competition. She took her first loss as a pro in December of 2019, being finished within a round by Rayane Bastos. Before then, Em had three stoppage victories.

Bout 3: Mihajlo Kecojevic vs. Beybulat Isaev (265 lbs) (Kickboxing Bout)

Mihajlo Kecojevic will make his ONE debut on the card, fighting Beybulat Isaev in a kickboxing bout. Isaev lost his first ONE fight in September of 2019, being stopped in the first round by Anderson “Braddock” Silva.

Bout 4: Chen Rui (9-1) vs. Kwon Won Il (9-3) (145 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Both coming off of wins, Chen Rui and Kwon Won Il have been paired for ONE’s event on Friday.

Chen returned to action in December, defeating Ali Motamed in only the second minute with punches. The fight was Chen’s third ONE win and his first fight in a year.

Kwon returned to the win column in November when he defeated Bruno Pucci. His previous fight was a loss to Shoko Sato in early 2020.

Bout 5: Daichi Takenaka (12-2-1) vs. Ivanildo Delfino (8-1) (135 lbs) (MMA Bout)

135-pound fighters will compete in the co-main event, as Daichi Takenaka and Ivanildo Delfino will face off.

Takenaka, a former Shooto fighter, currently holds an even ONE record of two wins and two losses. His last bout was in the fall, where he dropped a split decision to Yusup Saadulaev.

Delfino lost his ONE debut a year ago, losing a decision to former DEEP champ Tatsumitsu Wada. Before his ONE debut, Delfino had an undefeated record of eight wins.

Bout 6: Mauro Cerilli (13-4) vs. Abdulbasir Vagabov (12-1) (265 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Abdulbasir Vagabov will look to continue his momentum in MMA with a  ONE win in the main event. He will fight Mauro Cerilli to conclude the card. Vagabov is currently riding a 10-fight win streak from the regional scene. Most fights were first-round stoppages, although it is worth noting that most wins were on-paper mismatches, as opponents had a few pro bouts or sometimes even none.

Cerilli will look to even his ONE record at two wins and losses each. His second loss, also his most recent fight, came in October of 2019, dropping a fight to former UFC fighter Arjan Bhullar.

Cerilli’s sole ONE win was a win against Alain Ngalani in 2019.
