Jessica Penne will make her return to action against Hannah Goldy at UFC 260. First reported by Nolan King and Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie, the March 27th fight will be Penne’s first after serving a 20-month USADA suspension.
The location of the pay-per-view event is not known at the moment.
Penne will be returning to the cage after just under four years of an absence from action.
It was announced in February of 2020 that Penne would be given a 20-month USADA suspension due to a positive stanozolol test. Being her second violation in the program, she was eligible for steeper sanctions than what was given.
Penne was handed the reduced sentence of 20 months “due to the totality of circumstances, including the complexity of issues, as well as Penne’s participation in discussions with USADA,” per a statement from USADA.
Penne’s last fight was in April of 2017, where she lost a decision to Danielle Taylor. Penne will look to conclude a three-fight losing streak at UFC 260.
Goldy will be returning to action after losing her UFC debut to Miranda Granger in 2019. The previously undefeated fighter was scouted and signed to the UFC after a win on TV show “Dana White’s Contender Series.”
