Saturday night’s UFC 258 card has suffered a loss, as a bout between Pedro Munhoz and Jimmie Rivera has been removed from the lineup. Per a report from Guilherme Cruz and Damon Martin of MMA Fighting, a COVID-19 test forced the fight to get moved.
UFC is looking to move the fight between Munhoz and Rivera to their February 27th event. The fight will take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The pairing was set to take place during UFC’s pay-per-view portion of the card on Saturday.
Now with a new date in place, the bout will be Munhoz’s attempt to break a two-fight losing streak that includes decision losses to Aljamain Sterling and Frankie Edgar.
Rivera won in his last fight, handing Cody Stamann a unanimous decision loss.
The fight now joins a UFC “Fight Night” card that has heavyweights Jairzinho Rozenstruick and Ciryl Gane set to fight in the main event. Here is the updated lineup.
