Illness Takes Gillian Robertson Out of UFC 258 Fight Against Miranda Maverick

Saturday night’s UFC 258 lineup suffered another loss, as a bout between Gillian Robertson and Miranda Maverick was removed from the lineup.

An undisclosed illness that is not COVID-19 pulled Robertson from the fight, per a report from Marc Raimondi of ESPN.

The fight was scheduled to take place during the “Early Prelim” portion of the card at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Robertson was set to enter the UFC cage for the fourth time in the past year. Her previous fight was in December, where she lost a decision to Taila Santos.

Maverick was looking to return after a successful UFC debut against Liana Jojua in 2020.

UFC 258 is now down to 10 fights in total. The pay-per-view card is scheduled to have UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman face Gilbert Burns in the main event.
