Carlston Harris will make history on May 8th, becoming the first UFC fighter representing Guyana. The promotional newcomer has been scheduled to fight Christian Aguilera, as revealed on social media earlier in the week.
Harris’s UFC debut joins a “Fight Night” card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Harris gets the call-up to the UFC after putting together a 19-fight pro career. He has earned stoppage wins in his last three bouts, including a recent victory over Saygid Izagakhmaev on a UAE Warriors card.
Aguilera’s return is set to be his third fight in his rookie run within promotion. The 29-year-old entered the UFC in June of 2020, defeating Anthony Ivy within a minute with strikes. He last competed in August, where he was submitted with a guillotine choke by Sean Brady.
Aguilera was scheduled to fight in January against Warlley Alves, although plans fell through for that bout.
