Former CFFC Champ Nikolas Motta To Make UFC Debut Against Damir Hadzovic on May 8th

Former CFFC Lightweight Champion Nikolas Motta will make his UFC debut on May 8th against fighting Damir Hadzovic. The bout was confirmed by Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA on Wednesday.

The bout joins a card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.

Motta earned a UFC contract in November, defeating Joseph Lowry via unanimous decision on “Dana White’s Contender Series.” He earned gold in his previous fight, defeating Juan Gonzalez to win the then-vacant CFFC 155-pound belt.

Motta enters his UFC career against Hadzovic, who will be looking to break a two-fight skid. The Bosnian fighter was submitted for the first time in his last bout, getting put in a rear naked choke within a minute by Renato Moicano in March of 2020.

UFC’s May 8th card does not have a main event at the moment, although numerous bouts have already been reported for the lineup. Here are the fights we know about currently.
