UFC Looking To Book Roque Martinez vs. Josh Parisian For June 19th Card

UFC is currently looking to book a heavyweight bout between Josh Parisian and Roque Martinez for their June 19th card. The potential matchup was first reported by MMA DNA on Thursday.

The location for the heavyweight bout is not known currently.

Martinez could potentially find himself in a must-win position, as he enters the bout after two previous UFC losses.

The former DEEP Impact and RIZIN veteran has lost to Alexander Romanov and Don’Tale Mayes since joining the UFC roster in November.

Parisian will be returning after not succeeding in his UFC debut. The 31-year-old lost his first fight for the promotion in November, fighting to a decision against Parker Porter.

Parisian earned his UFC contract in August, defeating Chad Johnson on TV show “Dana White’s Contender Series.”

Only a few bouts have been reported for UFC’s June 19th card so far. Here is what we know about the show.

Bout 3: Dhiego Lima (15-8) vs. Matt Brown (22-18) (Welterweight)

Bout 2: Virna Jandiroba (16-2) vs. Kanako Murata (12-1) (Strawweight)

Bout 1: Josh Parisian (13-4) vs. Roque Martinez (15-7-2) (Heavyweight)
