Two new bouts have recently been reported for UFC’s upcoming June 5th “Fight Night” card. The bouts join a show that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Dolidze Looks To Bounce Back From Loss Against Di Chirico
Just over a week after taking his first pro loss, Roman Dolidze has been booked to fight Alessio Di Chirico at UFC’s June 5th event, per a report from Alfredo Zullino of BJPenn.
Dolidze fought to a unanimous decision loss to Trevin Giles in March, making it the first time he took a loss since turning pro in 2016. His record includes two wins in the UFC, having defeated Khadis Ibragimov and John Allan last year.
Di Chirico picked up a crucial win in January, snapping a three-fight skid with a first-round head kick knockout over Joaquin Buckley. The fight showed Di Chirico’s explosive striking power and earned him his first win since 2018.
Puelles To Make Return Against Undefeated Leavitt
Claudio Puelles will make his return to action in June, fighting undefeated lightweight Jordan Leavitt. The matchup was first confirmed by Carlos Contreras Legaspi of Milenio.
Puelles will be appearing in his fourth UFC fight. The 24-year-old fighter has two wins in the UFC, and his most recent fight was a decision win against Marcos Mariano in 2019.
Leavitt is returning after winning his UFC debut last year. His first UFC fight was a quick appearance, as a slam knockout took veteran Matt Wiman out of action after only 22 seconds.
Leavitt got his UFC debut after a submission win on “Dana White’s Contender Series” in August.
