Josh Silveira To Face Rafael Viana In LFA 106 Main Event

LFA’s series of events in April will wrap up with a seven-fight card headlined by light heavyweights on April 30th. Undefeated prospect Josh Silveira will fight in the main event of the card, facing Rafael Viana.

The fight is expected to close out a card from the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in Shawnee, Oklahoma, USA. News of the lineup was announced during the promotion’s LFA 105 broadcast on Friday.

Silveira has put together four wins since turning pro in MMA two years ago. His two most recent fights have taken place in the LFA cage, where he has submitted Fernando Alvarado and Matt Paul in recent months.

He now fights Viana, who is returning after an extensive break from the cage. Viana’s last fight was back in 2016, where he lost a fight to Devin Clark on an RFA card. The bout was his first loss after earning six wins from 2011 to 2015.

Riding a three-fight win streak, Luiz Gavinho will fight Terrance McKinney in the co-main event of the lineup.

Gavinho picked up his LFA debut win over a year ago, defeating Josh Marsh via split decision at LFA 80.

McKinney is getting the matchup against Gavinho just a month after earning a win. The 26-year-old had a fast appearance in his last fight, stopping Dedrek Sanders in just 16 seconds last month on a regional card. The fight snapped a two-fight skid that McKinney had from 2019.
