UFC has recently confirmed two new matchups for their June 5th “Fight Night” card. The bouts join an event that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Arroyo Looks For First UFC Win Against Breese
Middleweight Antonio Arroyo will look for his first UFC win when fighting Tom Breese in June.
After three bookings fell through for Arroyo in 2020, he was finally able to compete at UFC’s last show of the year. The fight, which was his second for the promotion since entering it in 2019, saw him lose on scorecards to Deron Winn.
Breese was submitted in his last showing, getting stopped in the second round by Omari Akhmedov in January. Just three months before then, Breese had a quick win when he stopped KB Bhullar in the second minute with strikes.
Landwehr and Amirkahni Look To Bounce Back From Loss
Both attempting to come back after taking a loss in their last fight, Nate Landwehr and Makwan Amirkhani will meet on a “Fight Night” card.
Landwehr was on the receiving end of a fast flying knee knockout from Julian Erosa in February which finished their fight within the first minute. He scored his first UFC win in the prior appearance, fighting to a decision victory over Darren Elkins last year.
Amikhani’s recent loss came in October, where UFC veteran Edson Barboza defeated him via unanimous decision. The 32-year-old fighter had a quick submission win before then, defeating Danny Henry in July.
