UFC fighter Alan Jouban has called an end to his MMA career after 24 fights. The career welterweight announced his retirement from MMA on Monday through social media platforms.
Jouban, 39, ends his MMA career with eight UFC wins through 13 appearances under the promotion.
“Injuries, age and life have shown me that it’s time [to retire]. If I can’t compete to my fullest, then I won’t,” said Jouban in a statement via Instagram.
Jouban last competed in November, where he took a decision victory over Jared Gooden.
Jouban has recently dedicated more time to being a broadcaster in the sport. He has recently appeared as an analyst for UFC broadcasts and a commentator for LFA shows.
“I’ll focus my time now on broadcasting where I can still share my passion and knowledge for the sport with everyone at home,” said Jouban.
