This weekend’s UFC 262 card has lost a fight, as a middleweight matchup between Jack Hermansson and Edmen Shahbazyan has been moved to a later date. The bout is now expected to take place at UFC’s May 22nd card, as confirmed by Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
The bout was first set to take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, USA. It’s now expected to happen on a “Fight Night” card at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It is not known currently why the fight was moved ahead.
“I guess we wait another week,” said Shahbazyan about the delayed fight on Twitter.
Hermansson was looking to bounce back after losing a main event fight to Marvin Vettori in December.
Shahbazyan took his first pro loss in his previous appearance, getting finished by Derek Brunson last year.
UFC 262 is now 12 fights in total. The card is currently set to be headlined by Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler, who will compete for the promotion’s vacant UFC Lightweight Championship.
