Phil Hawes already has his next UFC fight lined up, as he is currently booked to fight Deron Winn at the promotion’s July 17th card. The booking, which was reported before Hawes’ recent fight, was confirmed on Monday by Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The fight joins a lineup that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Hawes has had a strong rookie year in the UFC thus far. The 32-year-old middleweight has scored three wins since joining the promotion in October. He last fought at UFC’s May 8th event, where he defeated Kyle Daukaus via unanimous decision.
He will now fight Winn, who is coming off a win in late 2020. Winn snapped a two-fight losing streak in December, defeating short-notice opponent Antonio Arroyo via decision.
