UFC’s quickly approaching June 12th event has recently received two new matchups, as confirmed by the promotion earlier this week. The new fights join a card that is set to happen at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, USA.
Anders and Stewart Move Up A Weight Class For Rematch
Eryk Anders and Darren Stewart will meet for the second time in June. The duo first competed in March, fighting in a bout that ended in the first round due to an illegal strike.
Anders’ strong one-round performance against Stewart came to an abrupt end in the fight, as he scored a knee to the head while Stewart was deemed a grounded fighter. This caused the fight to end in a no contest.
Despite both being regulars of the middleweight division, UFC announced the rematch to take place at light heavyweight.
Veteran Bantamweights Kianzad and Davis Matched
Bantamweights Pannie Kianzad and Alexis Davis have been matched for UFC 263.
Kianzad enters the fight with the momentum of a three-fight win streak. She scored two scorecard wins last year, defeating Bethe Correia and Sijara Eubanks.
Davis picked up a neccesary win in February, defeating Sabina Mazo to snap a three-fight losing streak. The 36-year-old Canadian will now look to continue her storied MMA career and possibly score her eighth UFC win in June.

UFC’s June 12th card is currently set to be headlined by UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya, who will return to his main division in a bout against Marvin Vettori.
