UFC Looking To Book Jose Aldo vs. Pedro Munhoz For UFC 265

UFC is looking to book a bout between Jose Aldo and Pedro Munhoz for their August 7th pay-per-view event, per a report from Ana Hissa and Raphael Marinho of Combate.

Should the fight be confirmed for the date, it would join a UFC 265, which does not have a confirmed location at the moment.

Both bantamweights are potentially getting the matchup after breaking a losing streak in their last appearances.

Munhoz stopped himself from getting a third consecutive loss in February, defeating Jimmie Rivera via unanimous decision. His previous fights saw him lose to now-UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling and to Frankie Edgar in a main event bout.

Aldo, a former featherweight champ, had a three-fight skid broken late last year when he defeated Marlon Vera on scorecards.

Aldo’s prior bouts saw him lose on scorecards to Alexander Volkanovski and Marlon Moraes and get finished by Petr Yan in a title fight.

UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes will attempt to defend her belt against Julianna Pena in the main event of UFC 265. Here are all of the fights that have been reported for the card thus far.

Bout 5: Amanda Nunes (21-4) vs. Julianna Pena (10-4) (UFC Bantamweight Championship)

Bout 4: Drako Rodriguez (7-2) vs. Vince Morales (9-5) (Bantamweight)

Bout 3: Johnny Munoz (10-1) vs. Jamey Simmons (7-3) (Bantamweight)

Bout 2: Uriah Hall (17-9) vs. Sean Strickland (23-3) (Middleweight)
