RIZIN star kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa is set to fight three opponents in one night at the promotion’s June 13th event. The fight will take place on the promotion’s debut card at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.
The rules of Nasukawa’s bout are unique. The fighters will not be allowed to throw kicks, but punches (including superman punches and spinning backfists) are allowed.
Nasukawa will fight one round against each opponent under these rules, with a three knockdown rule being applied to each fighter. Should one of them stop Nasukawa, the gauntlet altogether will be stopped.
Two of three opponents for Nasukawa has been announced, as the third will remain a secret until the event. It was revealed Wednesday that the first two opponents will be kickboxers Koki Osaki and HIROYA.
Osaki has put together four consecutive wins between Muay Thai and kickboxing as of late, fighting in RISE Kickboxing and Battle of Muay Thai in Japan.
HIROYA has been inactive in kickboxing as of late, having last competed in 2019. He returned to action at RIZIN’s New Year’s Eve event last year, losing a hybrid rules contest against Youtuber Shibatar.
The main event of RIZIN 28 will be a featherweight bout between Mikuru Asakura and Kleber Koike. The card will also include a lightweight title fight and four fights from the Lightweight Grand Prix.
