ONE Championship: Full Blast 2 Preview

ONE Championship will present a quick pre-recorded four-fight card on Friday morning titled “Full Blast.” The event will be headlined by a Muay Thai bout between Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy and Elias Mahmoudi.

Here’s a preview of the event.

Main Card (8:30AM EDT / 8:30PM SGT) (B/R Live / Youtube)

Bout 1: Wang Wenfeng vs. Taiki Naito (135 lbs) (Kickboxing Bout)

A kickboxing fight between Wang Wenfeng and Taiki Naito will kick off the card on Friday.

Naito is coming back after taking his first loss in ONE late last year, being defeated via decision by Jonathan Haggerty. Prior to then, he had attained three wins on flagship ONE events.

Wang picked up his first ONE win last year, fighting to a scorecard win against Azwan Che Will.

Bout 2: Ma Jia Wen (6-3) vs. Yoon Chang Min (4-1) (155 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Attempting to bounce back from a recent stoppage loss, Ma Jia Wen will face Yoon Chang Min on the card.

Ma has spent his entire pro MMA career in ONE, having competed for them since 2015. He was building up momentum in the promotion from 2016 to 2018, scoring four consecutive wins. That streak was stopped in early 2020, as Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg finished him in less than a minute with punches.

Similarly, Yoon is returning after his first pro loss. Yoon last competed in the fall last year, where Ryogo Takahashi stopped him in the second round of a bout with punches. Yoon had previously gained a reputation for finishing fights early, having only escaped the first round once through four appearances.

Bout 3: Ben Wilhelm (4-0) vs. Tsogookhuu Amarsanaa (5-2) (170 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Undefeated welterweight Ben Wilhelm will make his ONE debut in the co-main event, facing Tsogookhuu Amarsanaa.

Wilhelm is joining ONE after putting together four wins as a pro. After fighting three times in Hawaiian MMA promotion X-1 World Events, Wilhelm won his last fight in late 2019 on a Bellator card. All four of his wins have come via submission, with three of them ending within a round.

Amarsanaa is returning to ONE after more than a year outside of the cage. His last fight was in November, where veteran fighter Eduard Folayang scored a decision win over him. Earlier that year, Amarsanaa defeated Shannon Wiratchai in his ONE debut.

Bout 4: Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy vs. Elias Mahmoudi (138 lbs) (Muay Thai Bout)

Elias Mahmoudi will return to ONE when fighting Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy under Muay Thai rules in the main event of the card.

While Mongkolpetch has fought in numerous promotions in Muay Thai in recent years, his record within ONE sits at a flawless three wins and no losses at the moment.

His last ONE fight was a decision victory over Sok Thy last year.

Mahmoudi has competed in ONE numerous times, but his fight airing on Friday will be the first time he has fought since late 2019. He scored a victory in his last showing, defeating Lerdsila Chaumpairtour in December of 2019.

His most notable ONE fight was in 2019, where he lost a title fight to Petchdam Petchyindee Academy under kickboxing rules.
