Both trying to snap losing streaks, Khalil Rountree and Modestas Bukauskas will be matched for UFC’s September 4th event. News of the bout was first reported earlier this week by Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The fight joins a card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Rountree made his return to the cage earlier this year, losing on scorecards to Marcin Prachnio at UFC 257. The bout was Rountree’s first appearance in over a year, with his previous bout being a finish loss to Ion Cutelaba in September of 2019.
Bukauskas has fought three times in his rookie year in the UFC. The former Cage Warriors Light Heavyweight Champion won his promotional debut in July of 2020, defeating Andreas Michailidis.
He has since lost bouts to Jimmy Crute and Michal Oleksiejczuk.
