Nikolas Motta To Make UFC Debut Against Jim Miller on September 18th

UFC veteran Jim Miller is set to continue his extensive career on September 18th, fighting promotional newcomer Nikolas Motta at lightweight. The new matchup was first reported by Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie on Thursday.

The fight joins a UFC “Fight Night” card that does not have a confirmed location currently.

Motta earned his UFC contract on the most recent season of “Dana White’s Contender Series,” where he fought to a unanimous decision win over Joseph Lowry.

Before then, Motta had earned the CFFC Lightweight Championship in 2019, concluding a strong eight-year run on the regional scene.

Miller will be entering the UFC octagon for the 38th time, more times than any other fighter in the promotion’s history (he is currently tied with Donald Cerrone at 37 appearances).

The 37-year-old lost his last two bouts, dropping decisions to Vinc Pichel and Joe Solecki.

While UFC’s September 18th card now has many fights booked for it, a main event is not known for the show at the moment. Here is how the lineup looks.

Bout 4: Ion Cutelaba (15-6-1) vs. Devin Clark (12-5) (Light Heavyweight)

Bout 3: Tafon Nchukwi (5-1) vs. Mike Rodriguez (11-6) (Light Heavyweight)

Bout 2: Impa Kasanganay (9-1) vs. Carlston Harris (16-4) (Welterweight)

Bout 1: Jim Miller (32-16) vs. Nikolas Motta (12-3) (Lightweight)
