A recent report from Damon Martin and Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting has revealed five names that are no longer part of the UFC roster.
Emil Week, Lara Procopio, Roque Martinez, Alexander Yakovlev and Joe Ellenberger have all parted ways with the UFC, per the report.
Martinez and Procopio are the most recent of the five to have competed.
Martinez last fought on June 19th, where he lost a split decision to Josh Parisian. The fight was his third consecutive loss since joining the UFC roster last year.
Procopio was submitted in her last appearance, being finished in the third round by undefeated prospect Casey O’Neill. Procopio finishes her UFC stint after one win and two losses.
Out of all fighters to leave the roster, Yakovlev had the longest run. Joining the UFC in 2014, the 36-year-old attained three wins and six losses, including a 2020 armbar submission loss to Joel Alvarez.
Meek departs the roster after over four years. After winning his UFC debut in 2016 to Jordan Mein, Meek lost three consecutive fights, including a 2018 bout against current UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman.
Meek last fought in February 2020, dropping a unanimous decision to Jake Matthews.
While part of the UFC roster in recent years and in the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency testing pool, Ellenberger has not competed since 2014.
