Flyweights Mariya Agapova and Sabina Mazo are expected to battle at UFC’s October 9th show, as first reported by Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie.
The new matchup joins a card that does not have a confirmed location currently.
Both fighters will be attempting to bounce back from a recent loss.
Mazo had a three-fight winning streak snapped by veteran Alexis Davis, who defeated her via unanimous decision earlier this year. Before the loss, the former LFA Flyweight Champion earned her first stoppage UFC win with a submission against Justine Kish.
Agapova has been out of the cage for over a year now. Her last appearance was a huge upset loss, as +950 underdog Shana Dobson finished her in the second round with strikes. The fight was Agapova’s first defeat in the UFC cage, as her previous showing was her promotional debut win over Hannah Cifers.
