Roman Faraldo Withdraws From Bellator 262 Fight Against John Ramirez

Bellator’s July 16th card has lost another fight, as Roman Faraldo has withdrawn from his fight against John Ramirez. Faraldo opted out of the bout due to the upcoming birth of his child which is “at any moment,” per a report from Nolan King of MMA Junkie.

The fight was set to take place on the Bellator 262 preliminary card at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.

Ramirez will reportedly be compensated for the fight despite it not happening.

It is not known if the matchup will be re-booked for a new date later down the line.

Faraldo was looking to build upon his undefeated pro record of five fights. He scored his second Bellator win earlier this year, stopping Trevor Gudde in the second round with strikes.

The fight was going to be the Bellator debut for Ramirez, who recently snapped a four-fight skid with a submission win in a regional bout.

Bellator 262 now has 10 fights in total. It is set to be headlined by Bellator Flyweight Champion Juliana Velasquez and title challenger Denise Kielholtz.
