The professional MMA debut for Justin Barry won’t be happening at Bellator 263 on Saturday night, as he has been removed from his fight. Barry got taken from the lineup after failing his pre-fight medical exams, per a statement obtained by MMA Fighting.
Barry was set to make his debut against Daniel Compton in the opening bout of Bellator 263 at The Forum in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Barry did not appear at the Bellator 263 weigh-ins on Friday. Compton, his opponent, appeared and made weight for the catchweight bout of 190-pounds.
Compton was looking to make his return to Bellator, with his previous appearance being a loss to Ivan Batinich in 2019.
Bellator 263 now has 11 fights set to happen. The main event of the card will see featherweight champ Patricio Pitbull face undefeated AJ McKee Jr. in the grand final of a tournament.
