Cory McKenna will look to score her second UFC victory when facing Emily Whitmire at the promotion’s September 18th card, per a report by Farah Hannoun and Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
The bout is expected to happen on a card that does not have a location confirmed for it currently.
McKenna won her UFC debut in November with a unanimous decision victory over Kay Hansen. She was returning just three months after she defeated LFA vet Vanessa Demopoulos on TV show “Dana White’s Contender Series.”
The five-fight Cage Warriors veteran has a pro record of six wins and one loss.
Whitmire will be looking to snap a two-fight losing streak. She has been submitted in her past two fights, including an armbar loss she took to Polyana Viana last year.
