Chas Skelly To Return Against Mike Trizano At October 9th UFC Card

Returning after over two years outside of the cage, Chas Skelly will face Mike Trizano at UFC’s October 9th event, per Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA.

The matchup is part of a “Fight Night” card that does not have a confirmed location currently.

Skelly’s last fight was back in September 2019, where he scored a unanimous decision victory against Jordan Griffin.

Skelly has been out of action throughout all of 2020 and most of 2021. He has been booked for three bouts in that time, although all of them have fallen off shows for various reasons.

Trizano made his own return just recently, coming back after 23 months out of the UFC octagon to defeat Ludovit Klein via unanimous decision. The winner on season 27 of “The Ultimate Fighter” has a UFC record of three wins and one loss.

The current plan for UFC’s October 9th card is to have a strawweight main event between Marina Rodriguez and Mackenzie Dern. Here’s the updated lineup:

Bout 6: Marina Rodriguez (14-1-2) vs. Mackenzie Dern (11-1) (Strawweight)

Bout 5: Lupita Godinez (5-1) vs. Sam Hughes (5-3) (Strawweight)

Bout 4: Chris Gutierrez (16-3-2) vs. Felipe Colares (10-2) (Featherweight)

Bout 3: Mariya Agapova (9-2) vs. Sabina Mazo (9-2) (Flyweight)

Bout 2: Tim Elliott (17-11-1) vs. Matheus Nicolau (16-2-1) (Flyweight)

Bout 1: Mike Trizano (9-1) vs. Chas Skelly (18-3) (Featherweight)
