Serghei Spivac Steps In To Face Tom Aspinall At September 4th UFC Card

UFC’s September 4th card has received a slight change, as a heavyweight matchup has seen one fighter swapped out with another.

Tom Aspinall is scheduled to now face Serghei Spivac this Saturday after the previous opponent Sergei Pavlovich withdrew due to visa issues. The change was first reported by Nolan King and John Morgan of MMA Junkie.

The new matchup joins a “Fight Night” card that is set to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The fight was scheduled to be Pavlovich’s first appearance since October 2019. His UFC record currently includes two first-round stoppage wins and a loss to Alistair Overeem.

Now with a new opponent, Aspinall will aim to continue his undefeated UFC run. He has picked up three wins since joining the roster last year, including a recent victory over veteran Andrei Arlovski.

Spivac is also on a strong three-fight win streak. He also defeated a veteran in his last appearance, getting a unanimous decision victory over Aleksei Oleinik June.
