‘Contender Series’ Winner CJ Vergara To Make UFC Debut Against Ode Osbourne At UFC 268

Mere days after a performance on “Dana White’s Contender Series” secured him a UFC contract, CJ Vergara’s promotional debut is set. The flyweight is scheduled to meet Ode Osbourne at UFC’s November 6th pay-per-view event, per a report from Mike Heck and Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.

The bout joins UFC 268, which is scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York, USA.

Vergara had a quick win on the current “Contender Series” season, putting away Bruno Korea within a minute with strikes earlier this month. The victory extended his win streak to five-in-a-row, including four recent appearances in Fury FC.

Osbourne will be looking to bounce back from a flying knee loss he took in August against Manel Kape. He was on the winning side of an explosive finish before then, stopping Jerome Rivera in just 26 seconds earlier this year.

A rematch between UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington is currently scheduled to headline UFC 268. Here’s the updated lineup:

Bout 11: Kamaru Usman (19-1) vs. Colby Covington (16-2) (UFC Welterweight Championship)
