Don Madge Departs UFC Roster, To Make PFL Debut In October

Lightweight prospect Don Madge has left the UFC and PFL’s roster, with his promotional debut being set for October 27th.

Madge is scheduled to face Nathan Williams, per an announcement made earlier this week. The fight joins a card that will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA.

Madge’s departure from the UFC surprised many due to his success in the promotion. While a recent slew of cancelled bouts has kept him out of the cage since 2019, the former EFC Worldwide Lightweight Champion had earned a win in both of his appearances in the octagon.

Now under a new promotional banner, Madge will look to return with a six-fight win streak under his belt.

Williams will also be making his first PFL appearance. The 34-year-old has fought around the U.S. regional scene since 2015, scoring 13 wins through 20 appearances.

The fight joins a card that is expected to have six grand final bouts in the promotion’s 2021 season. Here is how the lineup looks currently:

Bout 8: Loik Radhzabov (15-3-1) vs. Raush Manfio (14-3) (PFL Lightweight Championship)

Bout 7: Magomed Magomedkerimov (29-5) vs. Ray Cooper (23-7-1) (PFL Welterweight Championship)

Bout 6: Bruno Cappelozza (13-5) vs. Ante Delija (19-4) (PFL Heavyweight Championship)

Bout 5: Kayla Harrison (11-0) vs. Taylor Guardado (3-1) (PFL Lightweight Championship)

Bout 4: Antonio Carlos Junior (12-5) vs. Marthin Hamlet (8-2) (PFL Light Heavyweight Championship)

Bout 3: Movlid Khaybulaev (18-0-1) vs. Chris Wade (20-6) (PFL Featherweight Championship)

Bout 2: Claressa Shields (1-0) vs. Abigail Montes (2-0) (Lightweight)

Bout 1: Don Madge (9-3-1) vs. Nathan Williams (13-7) (Lightweight)
