Damir Ismagulov Out of UFC 267 Fight Against Magomed Mustafaev Following Weight Miss

UFC 267 lost a fight following Friday’s weigh-ins, as an egregious weight miss forced a lightweight bout off the card.

Damir Ismagulov came in seven-and-a-half pounds over the lightweight limit Friday, forcing his bout against Magomed Mustafaev out of the prelim lineup.

The fight was scheduled to happen Saturday at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Ismagulov hasn’t had weight issues in his previous UFC appearances, making weight four times since joining the promotion in 2019. His now-canceled appearance over the weekend was an opportunity for him to extend his undefeated UFC record to five consecutive wins.

The fight was set to be Mustafaev’s first appearance since February 2020.
