Rising welterweight Muslim Salikhov will attempt to keep his win streak alive when facing Michel Pereira at UFC’s January 15th event. The fight, which was first reported to be in the works by MMA Fighting, was confirmed by Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie on Friday.
The bout joins a UFC card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Salikhov has gone undefeated in his past five bouts, having built on the streak since 2018. He defeated Francisco Trinaldo in his last appearance, taking the veteran to a unanimous decision result in June.
Pereira is currently on a strong three-fight winning streak, putting together a consistent string of wins after only winning one of his first three fights in the promotion.
Pereira earned his most recent win in July, going three rounds against Niko Price for a scorecard victory.
