A new matchup is expected to take place in UFC’s strawweight division soon. Angela Hill has reportedly stepped in to replace Nina Nunes in a December 18th booking against Amanda Lemos, per Diego Ribas of AgFight.
The new pairing joins UFC’s last card of the year, which is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
It is not known currently why Nunes withdrew from the fight. The eight-fight UFC vet took a loss in her return earlier this year, losing via submission to Mackenzie Dern.
Lemos is currently on a strong run up the strawweight division. She has scored four consecutive wins since 2019, with three of those performances being first-round finishes.
She needed just 35 seconds in her last victory, stopping Montserrat Conejo with punches in July.
Hill took a loss in her most recent appearance, dropping a unanimous decision to Tecia Torres in August. Her last win was in March, where she put on a three-round striking performance against Ashley Yoder for a scorecard victory.
