ONE Championship will present their third and final “NextGen” event on Friday morning, showcasing a collection of MMA, Muay Thai and kickboxing. The pre-taped event originally took place last month at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore and will air for the first time this weekend.

Here’s a preview of what will go down.

Main Card (7:30AM EST / 8:30PM SGT) (Youtube / B/R Live)

Bout 1: Felipe Lobo vs. Rodlek P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym (145 lbs) (Kickboxing Bout)

Appearing under kickboxing rules for the first time in his run with ONE Championship, Rodlek P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym will meet Felipe Lobo in the opening bout of the card.

Rodlek has competed under Muay Thai rules six times since joining the promotion in 2019. His appearance on this card is his first time fighting since he suffered a stoppage loss in a title fight against Nong-O Gaiyanghadao late last year.

Lobo will be making his return to ONE Championship in the bout. He made his first appearance for the promotion in 2020, earning a decision win over Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon.

Bout 2: Pieter Buist (17-5) vs. Ruslan Emilbek Uulu (12-2) (170 lbs) (MMA Bout)

In the first of three MMA fights on the card, Pieter Buist will fight Ruslan Emilbek Uulu at welterweight.

Buist will be aiming to come back from his sole loss in ONE, which he took in November 2020 against Timofey Nastyukhin. He had a strong winning streak before then that included a trio of victories in the promotion.

Emilbek lost his ONE debut earlier this year, getting stopped in the first round by Yoshiki Nakahara.

Bout 3: Panpayak Jitmuangnon vs. Daniel Puertas (135 lbs) (Kickboxing Bout)

Daniel Puerta will get his ONE Championship debut on this card, facing the returning Panpayak Jitmuangnon in a kickboxing bout.

Puertas was previously set to face a fellow gym member of Panpayak, Rodtang, at ONE’s “First Strike” event in October. Plans for that fight later fell apart.

Puertas has previously fought in kickboxing promotion K-1 Japan, where he fought Takeru in 2018.

Panpayak’s last kickboxing fight in ONE was a win in 2019. He has since lost under their Muay Thai ruleset once and picked up a win under a different Muay Thai promotion.

Bout 4: Alex Silva (10-6) vs. Rene Catalan (6-4) (125 lbs) (MMA Bout)

In a battle between two veterans in ONE Championship, Alex Silva and Rene Catalan will fight on Friday’s card. The duo actually first faced off incredibly early in their careers back in 2013. Catalan lost that fight, his pro debut, via armbar in the first round to Silva.

This time around, Catalan will be fighting to snap a two-fight losing streak he has in the promotion. His last fight was in late 2020, where Bokang Masunyane stopped him within a minute with strikes.

Silva snapped a two-fight skid in a fight earlier this year, defeating Miao Li Tao via decision.

Bout 5: Alaverdi Ramazanov vs. Pongsiri P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym (155 lbs) (Muay Thai Bout)

Appearing for the first time since he lost his kickboxing bout, Alaverdi Ramazanov will fight Pongsiri P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym under Muay Thai rules in the co-main event.

Ramazanov dropped his belt early this year, getting finished by Capitan Pechyindee Academy in January. He initially earned the belt in 2019 and defended it once.

Pongsiri last fought a year ago, defeating Sean Clancy for his first win in the promotion.

Bout 6: Lito Adiwang (13-3) vs. Jarred Brooks (16-2) (125 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Former UFC fighter Jarred Brooks will make his ONE debut in the main event when facing Lito Adiwang.

Brooks has been off the radar of MMA in recent years, having been inactive through all of 2020 and most of this year. He was last seen during a short run with RIZIN, where he scored a win down at strawweight against Haruo Ochi in late 2019.

Before then, Brooks had a UFC run that resulted in two wins and two losses.

Adiwang has scored four wins through five appearances since joining the ONE Championship main roster in 2019. His last fight was in September, where he went three rounds against Hexigetu for a decision win.

This fight was originally set to happen in April, but its initial booking was scrapped before it happened.
