Azamat Murzakanov vs. Jared Vanderaa Removed From December 4th UFC Card

The UFC debut of Azamat Murzakanov won’t happen this weekend, as his fight against Jared Vanderaa has been pulled from a December 4th card. The fight was reportedly taken off UFC’s “Fight Night” event due to Vanderaa not being medically cleared to compete, per Alexander K. Lee of MMA Fighting.

The fight was scheduled to take place on the prelims Saturday at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

It is not known at the moment whether a fight between Murzakanov and Vanderaa will be moved to a later date.

Murzakanov, an undefeated heavyweight, earned his UFC contract in August with a win on TV show “Dana White’s Contender Series.” He needed just a round to defeat Matheus Scheffel on that card with strikes.

Vanderaa was looking to rebound after suffering a stoppage loss to Alexandr Romanov in October. The 29-year-old has earned one win through three appearances with the promotion.

Saturday’s UFC card is now expected to be 14 fights in total. Bantamweights Jose Aldo and Rob Font are set to headline the card.
