PFL To Broadcast New ‘Challenger Series’ on fuboTV Starting In February

PFL will premiere their new recruitment show in early 2022, presenting the “Challenger Series” before the beginning of their regular season.

PFL announced Thursday that they have signed a multi-year broadcast deal with the online subscription service fuboTV, which will air the new series.

PFL plans to present a feeder series that will search for fighters who can join their regular season format. The show is expected to premiere on February 18th and will air on a weekly basis until the end of April.

The show plans on having a panel of judges that will determine who gets signed to the promotion. It was announced this week that former boxer Mike Tyson, current NFL player Todd Gurley and former NFL player Ray Lewis will be part of the judging team.

Since launching in 2015, fuboTV has been an internet subscription service that gives viewers access to a selection of live broadcast channels.

The U.S. fuboTV “Starter” plan on the service is currently set at a price of $64.99 monthly. Higher tiers like “Pro” and “Elite” are in the range of $70 to $80 monthly.

The “Challenger Series” would take place before PFL runs their regular season.

PFL’s main season format allows fighters to compete four times within a calendar year, with the winner of the playoffs receiving a prize of $1 million. In 2021, the PFL season went from April to October, consisting of 10 events in total.
