UFC’s March 26th “Fight Night” event is starting to look like a complete card. The show gained four fights recently, joining a show that is expected to take place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Ranked flyweights Joanne Wood and Alexa Grasso are also scheduled to meet at the event.
Grasso enters this fight with the momentum of two consecutive wins, having beat Kim Ji-yeon and Maycee Barber in her recent appearances. She was set to fight later this month at UFC 270 against Vivane Araujo but instead sees this booking after that matchup fell through.
Wood has lost two straight bouts against top names at flyweight. Her last bout was in November when Taila Santos submitted her within a round.
Undefeated featherweight Lerone Murphy will meet veteran Nate Landwehr in a fight on this card.
Murphy will be searching for his fourth UFC win. He scored a stoppage win last time around, finishing Makwan Amirkhani in October.
Landwehr is also coming off a win, having submitted Ludovit Klein in his last appearance.
Both on a roll currently, flyweights Matheus Nicolau and David Dvorak have been paired up for this card.
Neither Nicolau nor Dvorak has lost since beginning their current UFC run. Dvorak scored his third victory in the promotion last year, defeating short-notice opponent Juancamilo Ronderos via submission.
Nicolau has earned two big wins since re-joining the UFC roster in 2021. After beating former RIZIN Bantamweight Champion Manel Kape in March, he returned in October to defeat veteran Tim Elliott.
Two middleweights will also debut on the card, as undefeated Aliaskhab Khizriev will face Abusupiyan Magomdeov.
Magomedov is joining the promotion with an extensive record of over 25 fights. He was set to make his UFC debut in December against Gerald Meerschaert, although that fight didn’t come to fruition.
Khizriev’s UFC debut has been anticipated for over a year now. He earned his contract with the promotion in 2020, submitting Henrique Shiguemoto within a minute on the TV show “Dana White’s Contender Series.” He has struggled to find a fight since then, as three previous bookings have fallen through since.
