UFC’s March 26th card is going to need a new main event.
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz has been forced out of his fight against Aleksandar Rakic due to injury, per reports. News of this change was first reported by MMA Cultura and was later confirmed by Steven Marrocco of MMA Fighting.
The fight was scheduled to take place on a “Fight Night” card that will happen at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Blachowicz was planning to make his first appearance since the end of his title reign. He lost the belt in October, getting submitted in the third round of a fight by Glover Teixeira.
Blachowicz had defended his belt once before then.
It is not known at the moment if Rakic will get a new opponent for the date. He is currently on a two-fight winning streak at light heavyweight, which includes wins over high-profile names Anthony Smith and Thiago Santos.
