CFFC’s return to Florida will include two title fights.
Blake Smith is expected to defend his CFFC Lightweight Championship against undefeated prospect Paris Artis in the main event on March 17th. That fight will headline CFFC 106, which is set to take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida, USA.
Smith first earned CFFC’s lightweight belt in September, securing a third-round rear naked choke win over Zulkarnaiyn Kamchybekov. This put a halt to the rapid momentum of Kamchybekov, who had previously earned three consecutive finish wins in the promotion.
Artis will enter the title fight with a record of five finish wins. This includes two CFFC victories, stopping Ryan Rizco in 2020 and submitting Feraris Golden Jr. at CFFC 100 a few months back.
Undefeated Alequin To Face Pulley For Vacant Welterweight Belt
CFFC will also crown a new welterweight champion in the co-main event. In that fight, Hugh Pulley is expected to meet Eric Alequin.
Alequin is making his CFFC debut in the fight, joining the promotion after a three-fight run of wins in Combate Global last year. In total, Alequin has maintained a flawless pro record of six wins.
The booking mark’s Pulley’s return to action. He has been absent from the cage for over two years, with his last fight dating back to November 2019. His record includes notable wins over now-UFC fighters Grant Dawson and Jason Witt.
The former CFFC Welterweight Champion, Yohan Lainesse, vacated his belt after recently signing with the UFC.
