Terrance McKinney’s next UFC assignment is coming only days after his last outing. The rising lightweight is expected to step in to face Drew Dober at the promotion’s March 12th card, per an announcement made Friday.
McKinney will be replacing Ricky Glenn, who withdrew from the card due to an injury. The new fight is joining a lineup that is set to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
McKinney earned his second UFC victory just last month, securing a first-round submission win over Fares Ziam. This was the fifth consecutive time that he beat someone in the opening round of a fight. That includes his 2021 UFC debut, which was a seven-second victory over Matt Frevola.
A matchup against Dober will be a tough test for McKinney.
Dober has fought on the UFC roster since 2013 and has scored nine wins in his time. He is fighting to snap a two-fight losing streak, which came against high-level lightweights Islam Makhachev and Brad Riddell last year.
